Located on six blocks of nationally recognized historic Main Street, Van Buren, Arkansas. VENDORS & BOUTIQUES: Embark on a journey through our six blocks of nationally recognized historic Main Street lined with vendors and boutiques, each offering a mesmerizing array of treasures – from steampunk gadgets to modern boutique clothing, arts & crafts, home décor, antiques, and more. Vendor applications are still available above.
ENTERTAINMENT: The air will be alive with the sights and sounds of thrilling steampunk entertainment. Marvel at daring stilt walkers, presenting breathtaking acrobatic displays against the backdrop of a steampunk cityscape. Mechanical marvels will roam the streets, showcasing the ingenuity of inventors who have brought fantastical automatons to life. Be prepared for spontaneous performances by mesmerizing street performers, each decked out in elaborate steampunk attire.
LIVE MUSIC: Feel the vibrations of live music echoing through the festival grounds. A stage will host a local lineup of eclectic bands.
FOOD & BEVERAGES: Savor the flavors of a steampunk feast as food truck vendors and local restaurants offer a variety of culinary delights. Whether you're in the mood for clockwork confections or steam-powered snacks, the festival promises a gastronomic adventure!
COSTUME CONTEST: Join in the festivities by donning your most elaborate steampunk attire and enter the costume contest. Show off your ingenuity and creativity as you compete for the title of "Master Tinkerer" or "Inventor Extraordinaire." Costume contest entries must check-in by noon at 701 Main Street to register, no preregistration needed, on either May 13th or May 14th. At registration, entries will receive a postcard with their entry number and Main Street shops they must go-to and present their costumes during festival hours. Family friendly costumes ONLY.
Costumes will be judged on (1) originality/creativity, (2) theme execution, and (3) overall appearance.
The highest scoring costume contest entries for each category (child, adult, group, and pet) - will be notified after the festival and will receive a $100 cash prize.
